Holiday Time
For most people the holidays are a time of joy and happiness. Time to spend with family even the ones we don’t like all the time. For those of us that have suffered the loss of a loved one it could be just the opposite.
We think about what could have or what we are missing. For some it could bring back memories and be a source of pain. It has been said that grief is like standing at the shoreline of the ocean. The wave of emotions hit us and we never know how big that wave will be. Sometimes it barely hits our ankles. Then one comes along and puts us on our butt.
In our case we had each other, family, friends and Church to help us through. Not to mention we had three other children that needed us now more than ever. We can’t forget, that yes we lost our daughter, but they all lost a sister as well. Remember the good times and try not to focus on the times you missed out on. We are so thankful that God allowed us to have 11 great years with Brianna.
